Tonight if you can see it the moon will still be fullish... it is spectacular here so red and so big with a slight sliver missing at the top. I am not sure how but I managed to miss that it is also called the Hare Moon...! Alos know as the Pink Moon by the native Americans because of the spring flowers, but also called the the sprouting grass, egg or fish moon. April’s full Moon is the first to occur after the March equinox, which makes it the first full Moon of spring and the Paschal Full Moon. Which is the full Moon that determines the date of Easter.

I did also manage a quick sketch of Desmond...back in my studio, as there was no chance out on the field ❤π❤

Just because I want to celebrate a full moon! Another garden bird in my @btobirds #gradenbirdwatch count last week, I am fairly sure there is more than one but as they come to.my bird table separately i can only count 1. They are much braver than many of the others they dont seem to be concerned with the hierarchies that exist around my feeders they just do their own thing π

Lots of people have been doing more gardening g lately and some may be tempted to cut back hedges etc. It is actually an offence at this time of year because we can disturb nesting birds... if a nest is found it should be left compleyely alone...but this may help if a young bird is found... if anyone has any better ones to share I would be grateful.if you could tag me π

Got all my friends round for a birthday partyπππ₯³ππ
via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/B-m3bsFHXNY/
Normally I would celebrate my birthday like this... I would hug my lovely girls, my mum night be over for the night... on a really good year our whole family are together plus a few friends, maybe out for a meal to the local pub, lots of people playing music, eating, sitting close and being social...this year will be different... just me, Phil and cheese on toast π but I feel blessed, very lucky we are all well... and so that next year can be like last year, I hope everyone is staying at home and staying safe! ❤❤❤

As the days all melt together and they all feel the same it's hard to leap into the weekend with the same enthusiasm as usual...strange isn't it! I just feel like I am waiting for something... I think it's because of the lack of certainty... at the moment we know nothing of the world beyond this time... but maybe we never do really... but i know that every day I feel blessed. Stay safe!

When he was released from his bramble cage he went a little further up the wall and started eating the new shoots off the brambles...he obviously just loves brambles. This probably means that he will continue to get stuck again and again... he just needs to learn to reverse I think... any ideas on sheep training methods?
via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/B-h-rPJn1T9/
I thought it was too good to be true... we have been a few weeks without being stuck but here the is again! Another week another bramble trap...not even many brambles in this field he must have gone looking for them!

And here is a painting I made a few years ago, of another lovely boy who very sadly passed away, he had a huge and immensely loveable personality and her was called Kevin π

I have not managed any of my planned drawing so far today... my remote access to the college that I work for has been so slow as it is completely overwhelmed, getting anything done has been a trial...however I am eternally grateful that I am able to work from home. So here is an Olga update, horn healing beautifully and she is in very good spirits π

Another March Hare this morning... as I am teaching my @artdesigncornwall students from home via a laptop I am able to get out on the sun! I hope the weather is lovely where you are and that you are able to enjoy it a little π

Usually in March I like to paint some March Hares...my Hares are always a little mad looking... but then so is the world just now... i wasnt sure we needed any more madness but then I changed my mind, so this is Thomas.

I told you he was cheeky a bit naughty and has a fantastic sense of humour... he just grabbed my hat in his teeth and pulled it right down over my eyes then walked off...πππ I just couldn't believe it! And I couldn't make it up to be honest!

Day 1 done. Check out @artdesigncornwall if you want to see what some of my students have been working on at home! π π

So I went to see the sheep...this is how i found them, they didnt get up i think they suggested... quite clearly ...chill out woman! By the way Olga and luna are gone to but I couldn't get them all in the shot ❤

In other news we decided to sort one of our sheds out to make a home gym. I lifted some old insulation up and a couple of Rats leaped out ahhh...they always make me squeal π€ͺ I think we can guess where the went though... i dont really like rats, I know they are wildlife like everything else but they are not really welcome! Anyway Saus stayed on guard here wall watching for the rest of the time we were in there ππππ¬ important to say I dont poison or trap them though... just try to give them no reason to be near me!
via Instagram https://ift.tt/2Wz68V2
An update on our lovely Olga it took a while to get her in today because she doesn't like to be confined at all ever! But after she was left out on her own she decided to come in...in her own time of course... we inspected the wound and gave it a spray...I got most of it on me as usual..half way through the whole procedure she threw her head back and caught my chin it's only grazed but it looked worse than it was because I was covered in her blood...π¬ the main thing is she is on the mend... we will inspect again later. π

From the horses mouth! This is a painting I made over 10 years ago, looking at idioms etc. There is so many false truths going around at the moment...I feel it needs to be said...get your news from the horses mouth...the NHS, government websites and the full news conference not the chopped up version the various news channels offer... it's bad enough without it being made worse by these assumptions and falsehoods

More sheep saga today, this is Olga... she is my least friendly sheep and if she know I want her in she's off like a shot...she is a Manx Loaghtan, rare breed... they are very alert always on guard she has been here for 10 years but has always maintained her distance... I have found them to be mostly trouble free, she has one lamb our lovely Luna, also very flighty despite being well handled as a lamb, I have only had the vet to her once for a persistent abscess which turned out to be a thorn...anyway today she was covered in blood all down one side of her face... for what ever reason she seems to have been fighting and has ripped one horn off(she has always been very bossy and someone has had enough I suspect). Despite all the blood she seems fine, bleeding has stopped and its clean but she will need to come in for further TLC tomorrow...she had beautifully balanced horns too π₯

A bit more bird watching...not from today as I have been very busy putting in place systems to help our @cornwallcollege students work from home... one of my greatest pleasures when I am at home are the birds who visit... they have brought me though some quiet dark times in the past...I can highly recommend them... . . . Thank you to the @gardencrowd who supplied this particular seed mix suzysharpe_gc10 if you would like to try some at a discount π

This is a painting of my lovely Spoonie from a few years ago... today in our strange world I can only offer Sheep...but I find they have a calming effect on me just going about their business...even when Desmond gets really stuck in brambles he doesn't panic he just waits...but as soon as he is out he is off enjoying himself as if nothing ever happened... we all know this will pass... I cant offer any advice only to be like a sheep and wait until you can get out and have fun again...in the meantime I hope you stay well and kind ❤πππ❤

My beautiful old girl... Spoonie enjoying the sun today... taking every moment as it comes... she has struggled over the years with the worst feet, abscesses, arthritis and many other ailments but she takes it all gracefully in her stride, seeming gratefully of our help and care, she enjoys her food and loves a good scratch...bless her ❤πππ❤
