Norhing gives me more pride or a greater sense of achievement than hearing my daughter talk of me as imspiational! Especially on #internationalwomensday ❤❤❤ #Repost @gilliannair • • • • • • BBC Radio Devon Last night we presented an International Women’s Day special on BBC Radio Devon. 3 hours of chat and brilliant music 🎵 We were joined by Beth and Ellie from SAS Who Dares Wins and were also lucky enough to have a call from Caroline Beazley who sings in the Invictus Games choir. Thank you so much to @bbcradiodevon for having us and to @elliegregor @sportybethcf and @caroline.beazley for being part of the show, we loved every minute. Obviously a personal thanks from me to Alecia for being the most fabulous co-host, not just on our podcast @wildonespodcast but now on the radio too! ❤️ You can listen again online now 📻 🎵 🎧 🎙

So here is a little update on Desmond and friends... these naught boys bully the horses and take their food, pushing them out of the way and refusing to let them back to their buckets. So we had a bright idea... raise the buckets so that the boys (Walter & Desmond) can't reach. Yesterday however Desmond decided that he likes a challenge and dosent like to be defeated by anything, like the rest of the family he is very determined...(see this years SAS who dares wins for further evidence 😂) So climbed up the wall (not an unusual place for him I admitedly) and leaned into the bucket...🤦♀️ I seem to spend my life trying to out wit the creatures and failing!!! 😂😭😬

Today my bit of cornwall is windy it is whistling around the house and Saus is scared, her highly sensitive collie hearing knows it's really bad out there! Sometimes our mind plays tricks on us... and on Saus too... bless her.❤ F.E.A.R. False Evidence Appearing Real.

Gool Peran Lowen! Happy St Piran’s Day! "The heathen Irish tied him to a mill-stone, rolled it over the edge of a cliff into a stormy sea, which immediately became calm, and the saint floated safely over the water to land upon the sandy beach of Perranzabuloe in Cornwall. His first disciples are said to have been a badger, a fox and a bear" "He landed in Cornwall, and there established himself as a hermit. His sanctity and his austerity won for him the veneration of all around, and the gift of miracles, with which he was favoured, brought many to seek his charitable aid. He was joined at Perranzabuloe by many of his Christian converts and together they founded the Abbey of Lanpiran, with Piran as abbot. St Piran 'rediscovered' tin-smelting (tin had been smelted in Cornwall since before the Romans' arrival, but the methods had since been lost) when his black hearthstone, which was evidently a slab of tin-bearing ore, had the tin smelt out of it and rise to the top in the form of a white cross, thus the image on the flag" carving by violet pinwil in truro cathedral . . . #stpiran #stpiransday #cornishsaint

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus” “Happy St. David’s Day” My interest in St david began with the dove on his shoulder… maybe not surprisingly The most famous miracle associated with St David took place when he was preaching to a large crowd in Llanddewi Brefi. When people complained that they could not hear him, the ground on which he stood rose up to form a hill. A white dove settled on his shoulder. Legend states he was the son of Sant, King of Ceredigion and a nun called Nonnita. He was born more than 15 centuries ago on the Pembrokeshire cliffs during a ‘fierce storm’. He became a monk at a young age and founded a monastery where St David's Bishop's Palace and the Cathedral are now built. He was made an archbishop later in life and died on March 1, 589 AD when he was 100 years old.. His final words to the community of monks were: "Brothers be ye constant. The yokewhich with single mind ye have taken, bear ye to the end; and whatsoever ye have seen with me and heard, keep and fulfil." . #anthrozoology #stdavidsday

This is my beautiful little Sausage ... she is a collie cross and now 8 years old but was just 5 weeks when this was taken...she has a blue and a brown eye, someone once told me it means she is half year and half in heaven, oddly she is almost a carbon copy of a dog I had 12 years ago also a collie cross but tan and white... she was young when she died and I missed her terribly... I like to think a bit of her returned to me in Saus? However because I have had Saus from a puppy she has none of Sukies vices who was a troubled rescue dog..bless her. ❤❤❤ . . . #puppy #collie #colliecross #farmdog #myadroabledog

I love to just play with bits and bobs in my studio and watch at the possibilities unfolding, it's such a creative process for me...it allows me to play because I am not trying to make a good drawing 😂 which often inhibits my creativity and enjoyment. I find myself putting all sorts of things in my way so that I dont get wrapped up in the detail of making a good drawing 🤦♀️😊

I just love these bits of paper, accidental wonderfulness, it was a mask for a linocut that I did placed over the print so the background would not print onto the bird... I doubt k could make them on purpose though, it's the lack of planning that created them that i like so much i think. 😊 #happyaccident
