Honeysuckle traditionally associated with courtship and devotion as it’s stems entwine themselves around branches and saplings…also favoured by doormice as nest lining and rich food source.

Playing with a few more ideas…this may become a piece inspired by my nana…but I want to make a cast of some brass monkeys and I can find them! . . Working around the idea of Memento mori ‘(Latin: “remember that you have to die”) and it is the medieval Latin Christian theory and practice of reflection on mortality, especially as a means of considering the vanity of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits.’
