In the spirit of #mentalhealthawareness week this is one of a series of drawings from life I did of the lambs this time last year. I think it is really important to be mindful when I am drawing this is a really hard thing for me to do... drawing mindfully I try to be completely present, suspend judgement, be gentle with myself throughout the drawing, respond to each mark i make and stay in the moment enjoying the feel of the ink moving over the paper. Drawing helps me to REALLY see things even if the drawing is a series of loose marks at the end of the drawing I have a much deeper awareness and understanding of my subject...

Here they all are this evening starting to get used to their lack of fleece...overnight it seems Olga and Spoonie snuggled up together in the hedge bless them, so extra food this morning whilst they get used to it. Here as you can see we get our sheep in a row as we have no ducks 😂
